The Affordable Bathroom Vanity
When we bought our house, the vanity in this bathroom was short (possibly child size), with limited counter-space and hardly any storage. It stuck out from the wall about 5 inches farther than it needed to, making the bathroom feel small! It also had early 2000s grouted tile for a countertop. The best way to impact the space was going to be finding a slimmer vanity with more storage and counter-space. Would it be too much to ask for attractive, affordable vanity that comes with the countertop and sink? Enter this white thermafoil vanity with drawers and cultured marble countertop. The thermafoil material is easy to wipe clean, and the white countertop gives an expensive feel! Instead of replacing the chrome knobs and pulls it comes with, I used my this affordable black spray paint! This vanity was easily 90% of the success of this bathroom makeover on a budget!
The Large Arched Mirror
The original mirror was builder-grade frameless one that was glued to the wall. After my handyman pried it off the wall, there was some damage to the drywall. So, I did some minor drywall repair, knockdown texture, and paint touchups before installing the new mirror. This gold arched beauty is the perfect large-scale vanity mirror! It is 30″x40″ and significantly upgrades the vanity, making it look more expensive than it is! Finding a statement mirror that looks and feels high-end at a great price goes a long way in pulling off a bathroom makeover on a budget.
The Matte Black Faucet
The original faucet was shiny chrome with curvy details, which not only screamed early 2000s, but also made it hard to clean. It can not be understated — no matter what the other decor is doing, faucets can change the whole tone of a bathroom for better or worse (farmhouse, traditional, industrial, modern, etc.). And in any case, prices run the gamut from $50-$500 for a good faucet. I wanted to accomplish this bathroom makeover on a budget, so I searched everywhere for the best matte black faucet with great reviews at the lowest possible price, and I found it! The clean, minimalist shape of this faucet adds a touch of modern against the timeless vanity and arched mirror.
The Affordable Bathroom Shelves
Originally there were no shelves or storage of any kind above the toilet in this bathroom. The space called for simple shelves so that they were not the main attraction, but would allow me to style the space with art, a plant, and a candle. This affordable set of two wooden shelves from Amazon was the perfect solution! The black metal detail ties in perfectly with the faucet and hardware on the vanity! I highly recommend these shelves for a bathroom makeover on a budget!
Affordable Bathroom Decor
I’m so happy with the affordable bathroom decor I found, all from Amazon and Target! I especially love this set of 3 hand towels with cute fringe detail, this affordable bathroom trashcan with fluting detail, and this adhesive, no-tools needed matte black toilet paper holder! Each of these pieces brings maximum style at low prices — perfect for achieving a bathroom makeover on a budget!
